“I can’t thank The Shed Guru enough for their invaluable guidance and support throughout my shed-building journey. From recommending the best contractors in Hobart to providing expert advice on design and materials, they truly exceeded my expectations. Building my dream shed has never been easier!”

Late last year we purchased a 16 x 12 shed kit through one of the major companies in Hobart - at the time we were building our home and looking for ways to cut costs so we thought we could just buy the shed kit and put it up ourselves - how hard could it be right? We soon encountered a bureaucratic jungle with no obvious or clear path forward. We contacted local council and tried to research what our next steps were but nowhere seemed to offer clear and consistent information in terms of how you got approval to put the shed up, how you got it signed off at the end and what the guidelines and parameters were.

One day we came across an ad for The Shed Guru on Facebook and reached out to Brendan for some assistance. Right from the beginning we noticed the difference, Brendan took the time to understand our situation and asked all the right questions in terms of what our property was like and any advice we had received to date. Without making any false promises, Brendan was able to provide us with all the information we had been looking for and a clear picture of the steps involved from purchasing the kit right through to obtaining final approval. Brendan quickly put us in touch with contractors that he works closely with who have assisted us with navigating the whole council approval process, right down to marking the shed out on our property and preparing our planning documents for submission. We are so grateful we found him when we did as he has supported us in navigating what can be a very complicated process and saved us a heap of stress!
